Training Your Elhew Pointer

The Elhew English Pointer dog is different from many other lines of English pointers or other bird dogs. With there line breeding they have some things to take into account. As this gene pool was developed Robert Welhe said that the later dogs were easier to train then the early ones. With Mr. Welhe’s breeding desires many great traits came about. I am trying to take the thought’s that I received from him and putting them into my own words. To have a clear picture of the end produce you want is so important. Then develop or follow a step by step plan of action. Be patient if your having a bad day don’t try to train that day.
